Marianne
Richmond discovered her natural talent for painting and prose in her early
20’s while recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor. To thank family
and friends for their get-well gifts, she began painting and writing thank-you
cards. Recipients, delighted by her creations encouraged her to sell her
work to the small gift shops around New England where she lived at the
time of her surgery.
The works were warmly received, so much so that after painting more than 1000 individual cards, she launched a business to publish her first 20 designs. All of Marianne’s works celebrate the significant moments in our lives, promoting a connection between family and friends. Originally from Greendale, WI, Marianne received a marketing degree from Ohio State University. She and her husband, Jim, live in White Bear Lake, MN with their two young sons. |
